Conditions d’utilisation
Last updated: 19 May 2026
These Terms of Service explain how MORTY Audio Lab works, what is included, and what both the client and MORTY Audio Lab agree to when a service is booked.
By placing an order, making a booking, sending files, or agreeing to work with MORTY Audio Lab, you agree to these terms.
Who we are
MORTY Audio Lab is a UK-based remote mixing, mastering, editing, and release preparation service for independent artists, producers, and songwriters.
Business name: MORTY Audio Lab Trading as: MORTY Audio Lab Contact email: hello@mortylabs.store Location: United Kingdom
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to book a service. If you are aged 16 or 17, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms on your behalf. By placing a booking, you confirm you have the legal capacity to enter into a contract.
Services offered
MORTY Audio Lab offers remote audio services including:
- Mixing
- Mastering
- Light editing
- Stem balancing
- Release preparation
- Final loudness checks
- Export preparation
- WAV and MP3 delivery
- Creative and technical feedback where needed
The exact work completed depends on the files supplied, the condition of the track, the booking type, and what is realistic within the agreed time.
Booking structure and pricing
MORTY Audio Lab works on time-based bookings.
- Half-day booking: £150
- Full-day booking: £250
Mastering-only work is charged by time required rather than a fixed per-track fee. Most mastering-only jobs will fall into the half-day rate if the mix is already balanced and ready for final polish. If the track needs deeper correction, extra referencing, multiple versions, stem work, or more detailed attention, a full-day booking may be more suitable.
Full-day working structure
A full-day booking usually follows this structure:
- 9:30am to 2:30pm
- Brief break for an ear reset
- 4:00pm up to 7:00pm
This structure exists to protect focus, listening accuracy, and work-life balance. A booking does not mean the work will be rushed to force a final result within the time booked. MORTY Audio Lab will do its best to complete as much useful and necessary work as possible within the agreed booking. If more time is needed, this will be explained clearly before extra work continues.
What is included
A booking may include:
- Listening review
- Mix balance
- EQ
- Compression
- Stereo control
- Low-end control
- Vocal or instrument balance
- Effects balance
- Mastering chain decisions
- Loudness checks
- Reference checks
- Export preparation
- Labelled final files
- One included revision round
The exact work depends on the track and what is realistic within the booking.
What is not included unless agreed first
The following work is not automatically included unless agreed before booking:
- Heavy vocal tuning
- Full vocal comping
- Major timing correction
- Rebuilding instrumentals
- Production work
- Songwriting
- Arrangement changes
- Unlimited revisions
- Cleaning badly recorded audio beyond a realistic level
- Fixing distorted or clipped files where repair is not possible
- Multiple alternate masters or edits
- Creating radio edits, clean edits, instrumentals, or stems unless agreed
- Reworking the track after new files are supplied late
If extra work is needed, it will be discussed before additional paid time is agreed.
Client responsibilities
The client must provide suitable files and clear information before work begins. This may include:
- A rough bounce
- Stems or stereo WAV, depending on the service
- BPM and key, where available
- Reference tracks
- Clear notes
- Any deadlines
- Any required formats
- Any known issues with the track
The client confirms they own or have permission to use all vocals, samples, lyrics, stems, recordings, instrumentals, and creative material supplied. MORTY Audio Lab is not responsible for copyright issues, uncleared samples, unauthorised vocals, stolen instrumentals, or third-party material supplied by the client.
Source file quality
Final quality depends on the recording, stems, arrangement, production, and mix balance supplied by the client. MORTY Audio Lab will be honest if the source files limit what is achievable. Mastering can improve balance, loudness, polish, and translation. It cannot fully repair a poor recording, distorted file, badly balanced mix, or arrangement issue.
Revisions
One revision round is included with each booking unless agreed otherwise. A revision means reasonable changes based on clear feedback after the first delivery.
Useful revision feedback might include:
- The vocal feels too quiet
- The low end feels too heavy
- The master feels too bright
- The track feels too compressed
- The drop has lost impact
- The reference track feels warmer, wider, or clearer
Extra revision rounds are charged separately and agreed before work continues. Major direction changes, new stems, new vocals, new production requests, or changes that alter the original brief may require extra paid time.
Delivery
Final delivery usually includes:
- 24-bit WAV
- High-quality MP3
Other versions can be supplied if agreed before work starts, including instrumental, radio edit, clean edit, club master, pre-master, alternative loudness version, and stem export.
Delivery times depend on the booking, workload, project complexity, and whether extra revisions or versions are needed.
Payment
Payment terms will be confirmed before work starts. MORTY Audio Lab may require full payment or a deposit before booking the session. Final files may be withheld until the agreed payment has been received. This does not affect any statutory cancellation rights you may have under applicable consumer law.
Order confirmation and pre-contractual information
Before or at the point of purchase, you will receive confirmation by email setting out the key details of your booking, including the service description, total price, and your cancellation rights. Please retain this email as your record of the agreement.
Right of withdrawal and cancellation
If you are a consumer based in the UK or European Economic Area, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of booking without giving a reason (the "cooling-off period").
However, because MORTY Audio Lab provides a custom, time-based service, if you request that work begins during the 14-day cooling-off period, you explicitly consent to waive your right to cancel once work has commenced. You acknowledge that you will be liable for payment proportional to the work completed up to the point of cancellation.
How to cancel: To exercise your right to cancel before work begins, contact us at hello@mortylabs.store with your name, order details, and a clear statement that you wish to cancel. You may use the model cancellation form below, but it is not obligatory.

Refunds
Refunds are handled under the MORTY Audio Lab Refund Policy. Because audio work is custom and time-based, refunds are not normally offered for work already completed. If you are unhappy with the first version, the included revision round should be used first. This does not affect your statutory rights.
